"๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐." ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐. he bangs on the door again yelling, and finally it opens to reveal a tired looking boy. "what do you want bakugou?" says kirishima rubbing his eyes. "it's five in the morning."
"i-..." the blonde trails off looking down at the piece of emerald green glass, he plays with it for a second before holding it up saying. "i got my first piece."
the other male's eyes widen "bakugou! that's great! you'll finally be able to meet your soulmate!"
"y-yeah i guess so..." he mumbles under his breath before looking past kirishima and seeing his glass picture almost complete.
"hey, what's wrong?" the red head asks looking at the disheartened look on the blondes face, which quickly changes back to his signature scowl. "nothing shitty hair. it's nothing..." and with that the blonde walks away.

it had been a few days since bakugou had found his first piece, he had been finding them everywhere, some of the pieces were so small that he could only catch glimpses of them in the light, so he would quickly pick them up and put them together, they fused with the other pieces almost instantly when he did.
for some reason, he assumed that since he was finding small pieces that his soulmate was hurt somehow. Since the glass was more shattered than anyone else's that he had seen.
And from what he had heard the glass was also supposed to represent the person in their full form, including things like personality, their past, basically everything that makes them, well them. though he tried not to think about it too much in case he was wrong. but even then it was hard to keep the feeling of worry bubbling in his chest in case he was right.
he wondered if his soulmate was doing the same thing. desperately trying to find the pieces so they could meet...so he could finally meet someone that might accept him, for the good, and the bad.
to him it felt like he'd be able to make up to others somehow, showing that he actually cared for someone. instead of being viewed as someone who was selfish, a bully, and that he only ever cared about himself. he wanted to show that he could care for others even if it doesn't seem like he does. he wanted to make up for past mistakes by treating his soulmate well.
as he was walking back towards his dorm he ended up finding a bigger piece than all the others he had been finding. which gave him hope that maybe his soulmate wasn't hurt, and that somehow fate was trying to prolong the meeting with his soulmate. he didn't like that one bit, so he decided he was going to beat fate by collecting as many pieces as possible. and the other thing was that he'd be able to meet his soulmate soon. especially since he had been looking so hard that his glass picture was almost complete.
he opened the door to his dorm and looked at the clock on the headboard which read 8:34pm, he put his almost finished piece of glass on his desk and crashed onto his bed.
tomorrow is a new day...wonder how many pieces i'll find. he cupped a hand over his mouth as he tried to stifle a yawn, he rested his hands behind his head and looked up at the cieling for a while and eventually he drifted off to sleep.

the next morning he woke up and realised and assumed something utterly ridiculous. maybe his soulmate was shitty deku. the signs were all there, the emerald green shade of the glass, all the shattered pieces. not that he cared all that much if he was, but he felt that it would be cruel if that was the case. then again, fate is twisted. he thought before he realised that deku was already with his soulmate. how could i forget? he's with pink cheeks.
he breathed a sigh of relief, he didn't know how he would live with himself if midoriya was his soulmate, especially after everything he had put him through. he felt terrible about it, though he would never admit it. especially not to deku, and the reason for it was even pettier. he was such a stupid kid.
he wracked his hands through his hair and pulled at it. he decided that he was going to apologise. before he met his soulmate, he didn't think he'd be able to live if he didn't make up for his mistakes before then. even though he also wanted to use his soulmate as a way to atone for everything he did, which he realised wouldn't really change anything. and that it wasn't worth his time.
with that he got up from his bed and made his way to midoriya's dorm room, he banged on the door. he waited a little bit, his heart pounding in his chest, he heard the door open he looked down at deku trying to look as sincere as he could.
"ah! k-kacchan, what are you doing up? it's a little early don't you think?"
the blonde closed his eyes for a few seconds before saying "doesn't matter. and listen up cause i'm only gonna say this once." he opened one eye to see the green haired boy was looking at him attentively.
"i'm sorry...for everything."
he waited a few seconds before opening his eyes again. he looked at midoriya to see him baffled. before repeating the words "you're sorry?"
"yeah."
he then cracks up laughing. "hey what's the big deal?!" says bakugou feeling heat rise to his cheeks feeling slightly embarrassed.
"it's nothing kacchan, but just know. i already forgave you. i don't hold any sort of resentment towards you. though, i do think you could have handled your emotions better. especially after telling me to jump. what would you do if i actually did that huh? i wonder, would you regret everything and spiral?" he pauses lost in thought for a second before saying "anyway, apology accepted!"
bakugou could feel the shock on his face, he felt like breaking down right then and there, but also lighter at the same time like a massive weight had been lifted from his chest. he kept his emotions in check and put one of his hands in front of him, gesturing for deku to do the same. "so...friends then?" he knew it was childish, but he had seen how much deku had been growing as a person and a hero. and the thought of that somehow made him happy. and he was glad it did.
"definitely." he reaches out and shakes bakugou's hand.
"also don't expect me to change!!" bakugou said pulling his hand back. "anyway, thank you deku." and with that, the blonde walks away, back to his dorm. on his way there he almost tripped over something, he looked down to see not one, but two pieces of glass, his with a small shard missing in the corner. the other was a burnt sienna colour, the scent was indescribable. though he could say the same thing for his own pieces of the glass picture.
he walks back to his dorm and fuses the pieces together, all of a sudden a hole opens beneath him and he falls in a space of white. he kept up his guard. but he didn't think anyone else was around, he realised he had been holding onto the glass pieces still.
he decided to keep them with him as he started wandering around the space looking for a way out, and after what felt like wandering for ages he spotted something, it looked like an outline of someone. as he got closer he realised.
it was you.
